RTC Helps Team Nick to Cure T1 Diabetes
At 13yrs old Nick Ernst was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the pancreas stops producing insulin. Weighing merely 81lbs as a teenager Nick received treatment and started a whole new lifestyle. The diagnoses drastically changed Nick's life immediately. While most kids run around for hours without a worry, Nick had (and still has to) to be very cautious and check his blood sugar multiple times throughout the day.
According to the ADA, about 1.25 million Americans have T1D. Unfortunately there is no cure for T1D. This doesn't stop Nick! Since his diagnoses, Nick has been working hard to help others handle the disease and raise money to have a cure one day. Nick's goal in life is to become a Doctor and find a cure for T1D.
With Nick's Passion and determination Ronin Training Center was honored to contribute towards his efforts.
